HUDDERSFIELD ROTARY CLUB is a long established (1921) Club of men and women from many different backgrounds and walks of life who are prepared to put ‘Service above Self’ – the Rotary motto.

MODERN DAY ROTARY.

  • Offers the opportunity to contribute your energy, talents, and professional skills to make a real difference to the lives of others.
  • Considers membership applications from any member of the community.
  • Meets on a Monday evening (not Bank Holidays or last Monday of the month), but recognizes that the demands of today’s working life mean that it is not possible for everyone to attend every meeting. However, attendance, when possible, is desirable, and does create fellowship.
  • Has an informal dress code.
  • Conducts its business through the internet, or once a month at a normal meeting.
  • Organizes fund raising events to raise money for other Charities, particularly locally, but also on a national and international level.
  • ‘Puts something back’ into the Community by donating money and volunteering time, to improve the lives of others.
  • Provides business connections both at home and abroad through the network of 1.2 million Rotarians in 35,000 Rotary Clubs in over 200 countries.
  • Offers fellowship through regular meetings and social events.
  • Has lots of fun achieving its objectives, considered crucial to a healthy and successful Rotary Club.
