On Monday 19th June, as part of our Vocational programme, and along with members from Denby Dale and Holmfirth Rotary Clubs, our members visited the Engineering Centre of Kirklees College, situated on Turnbridge Road, Huddersfield.

This Centre, along with the recently opened Process Manufacturing Centre extension, offers apprenticeships in all facets of engineering and is currently engaging over 600 students, the majority of whom are between 16 and 18 years old, and who are all employed by Companies in Kirklees and beyond.

Our members were very impressed with the vast range of equipment available to students, and the general facilities provided.  Our President-elect Julian Holdroyd thanked our host Gary Bates for a most enlightening tour of the premises.
