Members and friends of Huddersfield Rotary Club recently enjoyed a visit to Olympus Technologies on Firth Street Huddersfield, whose principle line of business is manufacturing robots. The party was welcomed by Adam Swallow, who told us that their main product was a welding robot, but that recently they had launched a new robot for loading pallets, which had opened up a new market. They had increased their workforce from 8 to 14, despite Brexit!!

A Welding robot.

Adam and Dan, Production Manager, then showed us round their premises, where we saw the pallet loading robot in action.

The Palletiser robot.

Huddersfield President, Ann Denham, brought the visit to an end by thanking Adam and Dan for a most informative and interesting tour of Olympus Technologies.

The visiting group.

Members then adjourned to The Keys Restaurant for their evening meal and Club meeting.
